Karl Leonard graduated with a first class honours degree in photography from TU Dublin in 2015. Since graduating he has worked as an archivist and researcher on the 1916 commemorative exhibition 'Beyond the Pale - The Art of Revolution' at the Highlanes Gallery, and as a photographer, researcher and archivist for Hot Press magazine, as a retouch artist on several important national exhibitions, and as a freelance photographer and videographer on various social and political campaigns.

His primary interest lies in documentary, with the main emphasis on raising awareness for groups such as those with disabilities, and animal rights activism. The aim of his work is to give agency to those represented by facilitating their individual expression and creating a space where participants can have their own words heard.
